- Experience
I've been where you are
I cannot tell you exactly when it began.
It did not arrive loudly. It was quieter than that.
At first, it felt harmless — a glass of wine after work, something to soften the edges of a long day, a small ritual that felt deserved. But one morning I woke up and realised I could no longer keep a simple promise I had made to myself: not to drink for one weekend.
That moment stayed with me.
What followed was a growing and unsettling awareness that saying no to the next glass was no longer as easy as it once had been. I told myself what so many women tell themselves — everyone is doing it anyway. Life was vibrant, the nights felt alive. Why stop the party?
But over time, the ritual had expanded.
Wine at home after work. While cooking dinner. While watching a show. Cocktails with friends, then occasional shots, and before long, alcohol had become a quiet fixture in my fridge and an increasingly familiar part of my weekdays.
Still, I was winning.
I was building a career that carried me from a Big Four audit firm in Nairobi to multinational organisations and international client-facing roles. On the outside, everything looked polished, successful and in control. So I told myself this was not an issue.
Until it was.
What began as a quiet habit slowly became something that no longer felt aligned with the woman I knew myself to be. And when I finally decided I wanted help, I found that the tools available were either too expensive, inaccessible, or lacked the privacy I deeply needed.
I did not want to unravel publicly.
I wanted to navigate this with the same dignity, discretion and determination with which I had built every other part of my life. I wanted to win at this too — quietly, privately, and on my own terms.
That is why Her Quiet Victory was born.
A private, compassionate space for women seeking freedom from alcohol dependence — with dignity, compassion, discretion, and tools that meet you where you are. Because sometimes the most powerful victories are the ones that happen in quiet.
- Is this you?
For the woman who is winning at everything — except this
You are the one who holds it together — at work, at home, in every room you walk into. You are competent, composed, capable. And somewhere along the way, you found something that helped you get through the day. Something that took the edge off. Something that felt, for a while, like it was yours alone.

You drink to decompress, not to party
You are not the one causing scenes or losing days. You are the one who pours a glass the moment the laptop closes — because it is the only thing that signals to your body that work is finally over.

You are hiding it - from the people who matter most.
At work you are untouchable. At home you are holding it together. But there is a version of your evening that nobody sees, and the weight of keeping it that way is exhausting.

You have thought about stopping.
You are not the one causing scenes or losing days. You are the one who pours a glass the moment the laptop closes — because it is the only thing that signals to your body that work is finally over.
